Go fish
You are almost here. If you found my website you are most likely planning a trip to my home area of the Upper North Platte River system, one of Wyoming’s fly fishing hidden treasures. Come along and join me for some of the best trout fishing in Wyoming. This is home to thousands of trout and maybe a few hundred anglers the entire summer and fall season. This "secret" fly fishing area has never seen the crowds of fisherman of most big named rivers. Don’t be fooled - we have some of the best trout fishing in the west with miles of water.I have guided here for 16 years now for pro athletes, professional coaches, astronauts, congressmen and just plain regular people like you and me. I like making anglers happy and trout less so! I ‘m on the river daily throughout the season and am tuned in with what’s happening when and where. Always, references available if you need a little reassurance. I ‘ll make lodging arrangements for you and take away that guessing game of what will best suit you. You just make a commitment to me and I shall return the gesture.
Canyons
All of my fly fishing guiding takes place in canyons, two which are designated wilderness areas. No crowds! These areas require a little effort to reap the rewards. We might carry a raft a 150 yards, or hike a mile or three. The drive might take two hours. But beautiful pine trees, granite, rocks, and rivers lined with boulders and pockets and pools are home to great Wyoming trout fishing within the National Forest and wilderness areas. You’ll wonder where everyone else went.Trout Country!
Campfire
In all my years of guiding this valley the most memorable are the nights spent on the bank of the streams. Dinner over a fire, cool mountain air, and a quiet night under the stars.
I OFFER A TWO NIGHT , THREE DAY FLOAT TRIP.
I supply all the food, tents, sleeping pads. You bring your personal clothing and a sleeping bag.
Rates for overnight trip:
$1795 for one angler
$2650 for two anglers
X - Fridays
The first eight Fridays of the season are the days trout fishing goes extreme! I make a plan, grab a fishing guide friend and we head to the water. We might leave town as early as 5 a.m. to be on the water before sunlight hits it. Looking for those bigger fish that are still cruising for food. The day is generally long and we fish hard and take relaxing breaks, shooting photographs of fauna and flora. Maybe pick wild berries and mint to be added to the days fresh lunch. We pull off the river just before dark. Well maybe. Always a great day.
ONE angler is welcomed to the front seat of the boat for the fee of $325.00
You will be treated to great trout fishing fully guided, and instructed and come away with a ton more knowledge than you ever imagined.
Gourmet
You say what? I have been professionally trained in Gastronomy. Here in the Rockies, Abroad in Provence, France and the Piedmont of Northern Italy. No soggy turkey and cheese on white here. Each lunch is prepared by me using the finest meats, cheeses, herbs, produce, and breads. Whether we backpack into a deep canyon of wilderness or pull over on the bank while floating you’ll enjoy the day’s offerings.
Why me?
I go the extra distance that other outfitters won’t! I never fish somewhere because it’s an easy shuttle or a shorter drive. I go where the fly fishing is good and the trout are feasting. When you hike a mile or two miles and make that first cast and a fish slams your dry fly without another soul around you will understand the difference. I know every guided trip can be a gamble, especially if you end up with an inexperienced guide. You won’t find that here. Rest assured that you will find your comfort zone. No matter if you are a novice angler or a seasoned pro. I know you’re here to get away and catch some fish. If you don’t catch fish while fishing with me then most likely you are not going to catch ‘em that day.
